Hot on the heels of her best-selling book Accidentally Overweight, Dr Libby Weaver’s second book Rushing Woman’s Syndrome is already another number 1 best-seller. The release of her cookbook The Real Food Chef coupled with a year of successful international appearances, has led to Dr Libby’s insightful and life-changing messages reaching thousands each week. Rushing Woman’s Syndrome describes the biochemical and emotional effects of constantly being in a rush and the health consequences that urgency elicits.
It doesn’t seem to matter if a woman has two things to do in her day or two hundred, she is in a pressing rush to do it all. She is often wound up like a top, running herself ragged in a daily battle to keep up. There is always so much to do, and she very rarely feels like she wins, is in control and gets on top of things. In fact her deep desire to control even the smaller details of life can leave her feeling out of control, even of herself.
Overwhelmed, at times she feels like she can’t cope, whether she admits it out loud or keeps it all inside, adding to her wound up, knotted stomach. She is fortunate if her sex hormones are balanced. Most women in this state suffer terribly with their periods and women who go into menopause in this state usually find it debilitating.
Dr Libby combines two decades of personal experience, fourteen years of university and thirteen years of clinical experience in her unique conversational style to offer you real solutions to both the biochemistry and the emotional patterns of the rush.
Dr Libby also runs her dynamic live events all over the world. For the full EVENT schedule, please click here.
Hello Dr Libby, I heard about your book in a review on the local radio station and have read “Rushing Woman Syndrome” it is awesome. Im reading it again and will keep it as a reference book for times when I ‘slip off the rails’. I loved it so much I bought another copy to circulate around my female family members and friends. I figured they need to read it and be as inspired as I am. I was unable to attend the session you gave in Christchurch recently and would be keen to attend any further sessions you plan down this way. Thank you for such an insightful informative book. I await your Recipe book’s appearance on the shelves. I am 55, going through menopause and its so nice have such a great reference book. Keep on writing you are inspirational!
Hi Dr Libby,
Ive just finished your book Rushing Womans Syndrome – loved it! Incidently, Ive lost 4kg without trying and although delighted by the weight loss, my real ‘buzz’ is that I feel so much better having made some other life changes you’ve suggested (while the weight was silently disappearing)! As Karen says in her July 17th comment – I also would be keen to attend any sessions you have down here in Christchurch. Ive got 2 girlfriends in mind I’ll be bringing with me! Have just purchased the recipe book – hoping to serve up the ‘right’ foods for my 2 growing boys. With my very best wishes to you. MC
